Artec Industries new JL Shield protects the JL front axle's new Center Axle Disconnect(CAD). This new CAD system on the JL includes a very thin sheet-metal skid plate from the factory which is prone to bending and denting. The JL Shield is constructed from heavy duty 1/4" thick steel which is twice the thickness of the OEM Skid plate. Included are countersunk flat head bolts for the bottom of skid only to make sure there are no edges for rocks to catch on. This is fully welded and hard powdercoated for direct bolt on installation.
